New Komeito is not the Soka Gakkai. Komeito did a deal with the LDP, presumably in the belief that it could be a moderating influence on the goverment. It lost a good deal of support among Soka Gakkai members over this. They think that Komeito sold out on its pacifist principles. There are many good reasons for why Komeito was separated from the Soka Gakkai a long time ago. One is that politicians end up having to consider compromises that would be unacceptable for a religious organisation.

Souka-Gakkai is doing environmental disruption in Japan. The overexploitation is New-Koumei party's policy, especially fat ugly man Fuyushiba.
SGI-believers in other country are helping extermination of many animals and plants of Japan indirectly.

Ikeda formed Komei Political Party(now New Komeito) in Japan. Komeito has grown to be a big coalition with Liberal Democratic Party, the ruling party in Japan. Komei politicians are Soka Gakkai members. They support Iraq war.

When the Dalai Lama recently visited Japan, did President Ikeda meet with him, and if not, why? |
